You can have confidence in our desire to do great work and provide excellent service!

Skeptik Innovations started its life almost 20 years ago as a car club, Skeptik Racing, in the Fast and Furious era of the early 2000's when large sound systems and neon lighting reined supreme.
The name comes from the skeptical things we had done to our cars that were innovative for the time. The "K" in Skeptik pays homage to the late George Barris who literally customized the word "Kustom". Steve Molans had met George several times and was always inspired by his Kustom creations of the 1960's which included the 1966 Batmobile, and Munsters "Roach coach" to name a few.
Later the name was used by Steve as a brand for which to associate his work for everything from his custom works of art, to automotive electrical installations. For years the name Skeptik Innovations Inc. was associated with installation excellence throughout local circles but it was always just a side hustle. Then, in November of 2019, a video was uploaded to YouTube highlighting the custom work performed by Steve on his 1991 Nissan Skyline that would change everything!
Within three days, the video had reached one million views and the name "Skeptik Innovations" was being published via many online magazines prompting Steve to finally take the leap and legitimize the name and the business.
Today, Skeptik Innovations operates from a 3000 sq. ft. facility in Steve's home town of Jeannette, PA where they do everything from custom lighting, audio/video installations, remote starters, to troubleshooting and repair. The showroom is adorned with the latest in automotive technology as well as antiques and pop culture items on display from the owners personal collection!
The 2020 pandemic has been difficult on many small businesses. To this day it is difficult to get some products in the store. To offset this, we started offering custom creations from wood "led neon" lit signs, to pop culture game room art, as well as 3d printed items! These items can be purchased online or in our shop!

Steve Molans, Founder & Owner
"I love anything mechanical; cars, watches, antiques... There is art in every gear, and an artist in every gear head." - Steve Molans. Steve has been building and showing custom cars for over 20 years. His unique style and attention to detail has attracted the attention of others all the way back to his high school days when his 1993 Honda Delsol was featured in two local Newspapers!
Since then his passion was further fueled by his time working at a local car audio shop where he fine tuned his skills and learned many things about the industry.
Needing a change, in 2014 he left the audio store and decided to go back to school for Biomedical Engineering. He spent time between classes working at a gas station, working on friends cars, restoring and selling antiques, and repairing and flipping flat screen tv's! Within two busy years, he received his degree (with honors) from Penn State and for the next five years he excelled in the field specializing in board level, in house repairs, and excelling at repair and installation of various hospital systems. He managed his own hospital and almost 100 off sites and was also being trained for ultrasound and radiological systems all the while still performing installations, and repair work on vehicles after hours and on weekends. |
In 2020, after a video of his Nissan skyline went viral on Youtube, he decided to finally invest in himself and officially started "Skeptik Innovations Inc.".
Using skills acquired from years of study and his previous endeavors, Steve quickly made a name for himself in the community offering high end products and installation, as well as efficient, reliable repair work!
Today, he travels the country to collaborate with other shops and his work can be found in numerous online magazines and on countless vehicles across the country.

Robert Williams, Sales / Technician

Fueled by his fathers passion for custom cars, Rob learned at a young age the joys (and woes) of turning a wrench. His dad's attention to detail in all of his builds has stuck with Rob through the years as he now builds his own.

Robs early years had him learning in the automotive vo-tech program in high school. After graduation, his jobs have always reflected the automotive industry. From detailing to autobody, Rob took any job that fell in the realm of his passion. His big break came in 2014 when he became a mechanic for Mercedes Benz. Since then, his work has encompassed every aspect of the automotive industry other than sales.
To Rob, Skeptik Innovations is "A place I can be proud of again. Its a place to have your work seen and appreciated. Its nice to have to think outside of the box and let creativity take over".
In his spare time, Rob builds computers and is an avid gamer. He also took up Drifting with his 2004 track built 350z!
He is also fully restoring and modifying his 1993 Mitsubishi 3000gt and 1997 Eclipse gst spider.
Rob recently took First place in the Sport Compact class at the Pittsburgh World of Wheels with his fathers 1984 Porsche 944 that Rob lovingly finished after his fathers untimely passing.
